Do you know? Does anyone know? According to the Freedom Records in the Maryland State Archives, London Pinkney was born around 1805 in Crownsville, either on or near the Worthington plantation. Late in life, London Pinkney decided to come to Annapolis and make a life for he and his family. Find Us On Facebook
Where and how he made his money is still a mystery to me, however, with his fortune and was able to acquire land on Acton Lane, formerly Shorter's Lane, named after the African master carpenter who built Asbury Church, at Larkin Street, now known as City Gate Lane and Carroll Hynson Sr. Street.
