AAMC doctor, son killed in crash

The local medical community is mourning the death of a Potomac cardiologist who was killed in a plane crash along with his son Friday.

Dr. Hector Collison, 54, who practiced at several hospitals including Anne Arundel Medical Center, and his 15-year-old son, Sean, were killed after their single-engine plane crashed in Front Royal, Va. Dr. Collison had gone there to pick up Sean and planned to fly back to the area, friends said. The cause of the crash is unknown.

 

Word of his death spread this weekend. At AAMC's annual gala at Baltimore's Inner Harbor on Saturday, the staff took a moment of silence for the Collison...
