Alderman faces sanctions for late campaign finance reportsPublished 09/07/08
Alderman Sam Shropshire may face sanctions for failing to file his campaign finance reports on time. Mr. Shropshire, D-Ward 7, will appear before the Board of Supervisors of Elections on Tuesday to explain why he has yet to file a full finance report. "There's absolutely nothing wrong with the reports. It's just a matter of circumstance," Mr. Shropshire said. Mr. Shropshire has been staying at the Marriott Springhill Suites on Admiral Cochrane Drive since a flood heavily damaged his condo May 13.
