Well we are back! Zastrow Simms and I attended the 10th annual Sidewalk Moving Picture Festival in Birmingham, Ala., last weekend and it was awesome. What a great weekend in the home of steel, great barbecue and the Civil Rights District. A food lover's and a historian's heaven.
This film festival had 53 official selections screened over the weekend in seven venues, much larger than the American Black Film festival in Hollywood. Much to the disappointment of Zastrow, there were no Halle Berry's attending; as a matter of fact, there were no other African-American females associated with filmmakers but me. What a bummer....
