The grant will fund Capital City Safe Streets Coalition, a program which brings together federal, state and local law-enforcement partners to fight crime in the state's capital.
The program pays for the salary of a community prosecutor who will address the city's specific needs. In addition, a consultant from the Governor's Office of Crime Control and Prevention will integrate data and advise the department on related technology and equipment.
