Annapolis High's colors may be blue, maroon and white, but sophomores Sarah Landis and Matt Foer want to make the school more green.
Diane M. Rey -For The CapitalAnnapolis High School sophomores Matt Foer and Sarah Landis are co-founders of the school's Green Club. Club members are working to put recycling bins in every classroom, and they hope to start a compost heap and community garden at the school in the future. To that end, they launched a Green Club at the end of the last school year that has grown to include about 30 members. The club is working its way down a list of short- and long-term goals that it hopes will make the 1,750-member student body more environmentally conscious. "A lot of people are now starting to strike an interest and ask what can be recycled, and that's really good," said Sarah, 15.
