Mei Yu is working to establish a state pageant after two years of inactivity."You want to know my philosophy of life?" she asked, and as she spoke her back straightened and her head tilted into pageant form. "In life, just like a stage, it's how you act (that) achieves your goal," she said. A resident of Gambrills, Mei Yu, 64, recently returned from Atlantic City, N.J., where she represented the state at the Senior America 2009 pageant.
