"You want to know my philosophy of life?" she asked, and as she spoke her back straightened and her head tilted into pageant form.
"In life, just like a stage, it's how you act (that) achieves your goal," she said.
A resident of Gambrills, Mei Yu, 64, recently returned from Atlantic City, N.J., where she represented the state at the Senior America 2009 pageant.
