City Hall: Mayor, City Council swearing-in on Monday

The swearing-in ceremony for the mayor and City Council is traditionally a time for celebration.


This year, in recognition of the economic downturn and the budget deficit facing the city, Mayor-elect Josh Cohen is setting the stage for fiscal responsibility by ensuring that this symbolic event will not be funded with taxpayer dollars.

Rather, it will be paid for entirely by private donations.
