The late Joan O'Sullivan loved the great outdoors. The Annapolis elder law attorney could often be found hiking, biking or rollerblading along the Baltimore Annapolis Trail.

Former County Councilwoman Diane Evans, volunteer project manager for Jonas Green Park, sits on the first memorial bench which was dedicated recently to Annapolis elder law attorney Joan O’Sullivan. The Friends of Anne Arundel County Trails is also selling engraved bricks to memorialize or honor someone special. Diane purchased the first one in honor of Maureen Lamb, her colleague on the County Council.
Three years after her death in May 2007, her friends and family found a fitting way to honor her life by dedicating the first memorial bench to the Cape St. John resident at Jonas Green Park, the trail's Annapolis terminus. The recent installation kicked off a new phase for the small picturesque park located at the foot of the Naval Academy Bridge.
