Microbiology at AACC gets boost with $500,000 giftPublished 08/31/05
Dr. Sally Horner waded out into the Magothy River and used a meter to measure water temperature and depth, while assistant Christina Mohs scooped a test tube full for a sample. The next day, the scientists were in a cramped laboratory, where they carved out a space to count bacteria. They hope that by 2007, they'll be studying their samples in the new $500,000 Berlitz Memorial Microbiology and Environmental Studies Laboratory at Anne Arundel Community College.
