Meghan Allsopp says competitive rowing resembles "sprinting, sitting down." She ought to know. The Broadneck High School senior's father coaches the Naval Academy crew team, and she's a member of the only high school rowing team in the county, the Annapolis Rowing Club's Junior Rowing Program. Though the team has been around since 1989, most local people see the rowers only peripherally while driving across a bridge, or as a churning flash of color as a shell zips by bathers on a beach.
