Around Broadneck: Getting ready for Relay For LifePublished 03/17/08
Though the noise coming from the conference room in the management offices of Arundel Mills Mall sounded lively, three women cheerfully hunkered down in a smaller room to go over details for the upcoming May 16-17 Relay For Life on the Arnold Campus of Anne Arundel Community College. Later on, they joined the larger group to put the finishing touches on the much-anticipated event.

From left: Three of the organizers for this year’s Relay For Life, Suzy Jones, Survivors’ Reception coordinator; Kim Gramza, Arnold Relay for Life Chairman; and Ramona Conroy, entertainment coordinator, gear up for the fundraiser for the American Cancer Society, held in Arnold on the campus track oval at Anne Arundel Community College, beginning at 6 p.m. May 16 and ending 13 hours later. This relay is the first one held in the area each year. Others will take place at Old Mill, South River and North County High Schools, and one more takes place at Kent Island High School in Stevensville.
