Mr. Lundskow - 2009-09-03 12:17:54

I was surprised by Mr. Lundsow's flippant remark "Go buy a paper" . He represents the newspaper and appears to be a little bitter towards the internet/newspapers. Great person to have as a moderator of the internet comment sections .

Without pictures some folks envision a pile of junk and others see a masterpiece of engineering.

I was a photojournalist for 25 years and I appreciate pairing photos with stories as much as anyone. We post as many photos as we can but there are times we simply don't have the manpower to get to every one.

F. Hall makes a good point. If you don't know already there's been much gnashing of teeth here and at all newspapers about how to get the internet to pay. If we were in an ideal world we'd keep the site free forever. Will it be? I don't know, but all options are on the table. Unfortunately we're way off subject here.

The Capital Gazette can't pay its bills from your dedication to their website. I read on line every day but it is still in my box when I get home. I can't miss the comics and letters to the Editor!

Since the paper had the picture in it, you would expect that to be placed on the internet version, too. Call me crazy, too. It makes no sense to discuss something unique and to not post the picture with it, since you already have that media available.

I'm sorry - 2009-09-01 07:25:38

Sorry, I guess that I thought the internet was a superior medium for delivering the news. Cutting down a bunch of trees to print the news and using a bunch of gas to deliver it only to provide us with information that will probably be discarded the following day seems to be the less logical, effective and eco-friendly method. Call me crazy.

I'm with Nick. Spend a few cents instead of being so snide.

Well - 2009-08-31 15:44:56

I'm sure that this was a very unique and cool grill, I just wish that the Capital Gazzette in it's infinite wisdom, would have included a picture of the grill, instead of just a description of what it looked like.
