Broadneck High freshmen, all 14 years old, check out the equipment in the new Technology Education Suite, which was built during the summer recess. From left, Arnold resident Gabriel Smith, and Nick Miller, Essence Bennett and Lee Ann Rocksvold of Annapolis.With the start of the new school year, Broadneck High is inaugurating a Technology Education curriculum, in which all 600 freshmen are enrolled for both semesters. But, it's with a Broadneck twist: the courses will be intertwined with the school's Environmental Literacy Signature theme. Through projects, activities and field trips, instructors hope to raise students' awareness about the effects of technology on the environment and its usefulness in monitoring environmental conditions.
