It's a sensory thrill ride on AstroTurf. It's "surround-sound" in 3-D, accompanied by a visual feast of pageantry, glitter and flurries of swirling streamers. There's drama, suspense, a few plotlines, but mostly it's an all-American spectacle.

And, at $7 for general admission, it's the same price as a movie ticket. The Annual Tournament of Bands Chapter IX Championships is this area's Lollapalooza of high school marching bands.
