It's every student musician's dream, and it's coming true for nine talented teens at Broadneck High School. On Thursday, they will be performing side-by-side with the 94 professional musicians who comprise the Baltimore Symphony Orchestra.

The Broadneck High students selected to play in the Baltimore Symphony Orchestra’s Side By Side concert spend a few minutes practicing. Conducted by Maestra Marin Alsop, the first woman to head a major American orchestra, the students and professionals will take part in a concert at 10 a.m. at the Meyerhoff Symphony Hall in Baltimore.
