Neither of the two local high school bands that include Crofton students has committed to participating, said Kathy Sherman, Crofton recreation assistant and parade organizer.
"Without music, you don't really have a parade," she said.
The May event sponsored by the Crofton Civic Association has been canceled unless a band steps forward.
