Have you met Pedro? He weighs 140 pounds fully loaded, stands 5 feet tall, and at full charge, can reach speeds of 20 to 25 mph. Pedro is a robot designed by the South River High School Robotics Club for the 2006 FIRST Robotics Competition (FRC).
According to the FRC Web site, the competition is "a unique varsity sport of the mind designed to help high-school-aged young people discover how interesting and rewarding the life of engineers and researchers can be."
