At a Jan. 9 meeting of the Greater Crofton Council, Justin Ready stood before the 20 people gathered and said: "We have knowledge that the (Environmental Protection Agency) is slowing it down to a halt. At this point it looks like it is not going to happen."
But on Monday, his boss was singing a different tune.
"The EPA has not put a halt to it," nor is the agency even directly involved in the proposed project," she said.
