Around Crofton:Singers raise voices at regional competitionPublished 04/24/07
The Chesapeake Harmony Chorus chapter of the Sweet Adelines International recently performed a mini-concert at the Severna Park United Methodist Church to benefit Sarah's House. Leone Craven, Public Relations Coordinator and member of the Chorus said the performance raised $500 in cash and gift certificates and received enough donations of food, diapers, pillows, blankets and towels to fill a van. The benefit also served as a dress rehearsal for the 2007 Regional Championships held last weekend in Ocean City where the 22 singers placed 10th overall and 4th place out of 16 small choruses.
