The saying by author Kay Knudsen, "Love is missing someone whenever you're apart, but somehow feeling warm inside because you're close in heart," certainly applies to a military family from Crofton whose husband and father has been deployed numerous times since Sept. 11, 2001.
"He's been gone a good part of the kids' lives, but that's his job," said Priscilla Zotti, whose husband, Col. Steven Zotti, just returned home again May 12.
