Ernest Brian Boaudoin III sits atop a cafeteria table during a quiet moment at Arundel High School, gently strumming his Fender acoustic guitar.
Abruptly, the mood is broken as the room fills with hungry students. He grabs his football helmet, closes his guitar case, hefts his bulging backpack and heads out. The 17-year-old senior from Crofton is known by everyone as "Brian."
"I didn't even know my first name was Ernest until second grade," he said. "As I get older, it gets more appealing. It'll get a laugh at graduation."
