Fourteen-year-old Michael Anderson was honored at an official Eagle Scout Court of Honor.

Scoutmaster Steve Rose of Crofton is at the right.The Severn School ninth-grader lives in Gambrills with his mother and father: Liz Anderson, who is an Anne Arundel County librarian, and Keith Anderson, a program manager at SI International, an information technology company. For three weekends in April 2007, Michael worked to rebuild an aging walkway, build a rock patio, and planted shrubs at the Community United Methodist Church in Crofton. He enlisted the help of 30 volunteers, including his parents and other Scouts. He logged 42 hours on the construction project and...
