Of the 31 years he spent on the job, 20 of them were spent assisting residents at the Crofton Post Office where he started as a clerk and worked his way up to a senior window clerk. On occasion he delivered mail as a substitute carrier.
"It was good, clean work at decent pay," said Eric, who joked that he would still be there, if it wasn't for the fact that he wanted to play more.
