Around Crofton: Crofton Village Garden Club beautifies the Village Green

The Crofton Village Garden Club contributed funds raised from its 2006 Home Tour to beautify the section of the Village Green, where a time capsule was buried back in the 1970s, just adjacent to the Crofton Parkway.

Landscaper Jim Ross of Meadows Farms Nurseries recently finished an installation of native and ornamental plants, including roses, winterberry, variegated yucca, coneflowers, black-eyed Susans, and irises.

Club members Pat Stevenson, Marcia Richard, Harriet Kiilehua, and Laurie Thomas acknowledged dentist Dr. Mark Davies and Realtor Ed White as two key Village Green merchants who helped get the project...

Crofton Village Garden Club is holding a Holiday House Tour on December 13 that will help fund future community projects. In addition to six homeowners who will welcome visitors to see their holiday decorations, historic Linthicum Walks offers a rare opportunity to see the inside.
