Crofton's newest elementary school is experiencing a lot of "firsts" this year. Nantucket Elementary's fifth-grade chorus held its very first holiday performance for family and friends last week.

Nantucket Elementary School’s fifth-grade chorus held a concert last week to celebrate holiday songs from throughout the world. The school’s 700 students represent a wide range of customs, cultures and languages from various countries.The concert theme was "Holiday Songs from Around the World," since the school's 700 students represent a wide range of customs, cultures and languages. "Tonight is a night of celebration," said Principal Dr. Diana Strohecker of Severna Park.
