James Lamont Smith Jr. has been selected to play in the first-ever Football University Youth All-American Bowl Jan. 4 in San Antonio. The event is modeled after the U.S. Army All-American Bowl, played the same week.

Jay Smith, of Crofton, was chosen to play in the first-ever “Football University (FBU) Youth All-American Bowl” on Sunday, January 4, 2009 in San Antonio, TX.James, known as Jay, is one of 40 seventh-graders who will a few days before the big game participate in practices, a skills competition and breakout sessions with Hall-of-Famers and current and former National Football League stars.
