As stated..." At one time there was talk of finding a buyer who would preserve the wetlands, making the permit unnecessary." Let us remember that the wetlands are the first defense for the Chesapeake Bay. Stop spending our taxpayer money for groups to save the bay..stop filling in the wetlands by allowing commerce to build on them. Go green. Education our children how important wetlands are to the Chesapeake Bay Watershed. Using green building permits create a nature center that can educate local schools (field trips, Yeah!!) and the community (good old fashion fun with the family). Establish a Board of Directors, obtain grants or donations to create this nature center. Let the community come together for the greater good...The Chesapeake Bay, the education of our children and community regarding the land in which we live on.
