While there are endless learning opportunities in the Crofton library, Eagle Scout candidate Nick England found an ideal learning and leadership opportunity right outside of the library.

Nick, a 17-year-old senior at Arundel High School, set out to beautify the library grounds and fulfill the community service component required of all Eagle Scouts. Roughly, only 2 percent of those who start out in the Boy Scouts are awarded the Eagle ranking which requires boys to earn at least 21 merit badges and demonstrate Scout spirit, service and leadership.
