Students at Crofton Elementary School recently welcomed a visitor from outer space. Former space shuttle astronaut Dr. Donald Thomas informed and entertained an auditorium full of eager listeners during his presentation on living and working in space on Nov. 12.

Third-, fourth- and fifth-graders attended the presentation as well as the 80 students in kindergarten through fifth grades who are involved in Crofton Elementary's NASA Club, an after-school program that exposes kids to science through space exploration.
