While the devastating stories of destruction and tragedy in Haiti are difficult to fathom, the outpouring of aid and generosity from around the world continues. In Crofton, businesses and residents are contributing to the effort as well.

From left, Crofton Elementary School third-graders Adria Sayan, Caroline Wasko, Sydney Heatley and Caroline Kerr selected some stand-out headwear for the school’s “Hats for Haiti” fundraiser, which was held Friday.
Despite a snowfall Jan. 30 that brought more accumulation than expected to the area, Ledo's Pizza in Crofton pressed on with its fundraising efforts. Servers donated 100 percent of their tips to Haitian relief and Ledo's owners Scott and Colleen Taggart agreed to make a matching contribution.
