Students at Nantucket Elementary School recently journeyed to the bottom of the Chesapeake Bay with Crofton resident Elaine Allen as she shared her children's book entitled, "Olly the Oyster Cleans the Bay." The story chronicles the adventures of an oyster who wants to stop drifting through life and discover his purpose. Along his expedition, Olly encounters a host of sea creatures who use their natural abilities to clean the bay. At long last, Olly finds his perfect place on an oyster reef and learns that he, too, has natural talents that benefit the bay.
