With the beginning of August, many thoughts turn to the opening of a new school year.
Changes abound. Students may start a new school or new grade. New teachers ready their classrooms to greet new students for new learning experiences. South Shore Elementary families will experience a major change — new leadership.
The end of the 2006-07 school year brought the retirement of principal Deborah D. Williams. Dr. Linda Ferrara takes the helm in 2007-08. Dr. Ferrara is already on the job. She brings with her in-depth preparation and a wealth of experience.
