As president of the Generals Highway Council of Civic Associations, he has spent thousands of hours in community meetings, county council chambers, and treading the land around the historic roadway.
In October, he decided after having worked so many years, to step aside for a new president, Richard Falk.
Don's institutional history and knowledge of the systems has earned him an ex-officio position of the council.

BG&E put in tiny 3 foot high twigs every 5o yards!! To suggest that was "replanting" equal to the devastation that had been wreaked on the tree tops is a false equivalancy. Rather than bury the wires BG&E got away with taking the cheap way out...and at our expense.
