The Queen Anne's County Parks and Recreation Department teamed up with the State Highway Administration to create a new trail allowing Kent Island residents to connect with neighboring communities without having to step inside of a vehicle.
The Recreation Department has unofficially opened phase one of the Kent Island South Trail. The 10-foot-wide trail's design enables residents to travel safely between twelve established Kent Island communities without the dangers of motorized transportation.
