Of the 139 acres in Gibson's Grant, 55 will be set aside for the park. Right now it's just a bunch of piles of dirt, but soon it will feature scores of native plants and meandering streams, said John Wilson, one of the partners in Gibson's Grant.
The park - to be called the Chester River Environmental Park at Gibson's Grant - abuts the Cross Island Trail. It has woods to the east, Macum Creek to the west and the Gibson's Grant housing to the north.
