One of the most popular remaining traditions for children in our country is summer vacation from school. Even though many other countries are adopting year-round schooling as a way of preserving learning and resolving child-care issues, most localities in the United States have a "don't mess with summer vacation" attitude. Many of us, especially children, seem to claim summer as our favorite season of the year.
