Doug Gansler doesn't see many limits to his job. The reason he loves being Maryland's attorney general, despite noting the meager (for a lawyer) salary of $125,000, is "the power of the law to effectuate positive change," he told reporters and editors at The Capital this week. "I'm making a buck and a quarter a year," he said. "I've got to try to make the world a better place." And some of his methods have little to do with the traditional role of an attorney general.
