Psychology: Bringing the war homePublished 09/25/08
With better news developing in the Iraq war it is tempting to relax and appreciate the gains that are being made. With casualty numbers far below the original estimates, there is a degree of stability starting to take root. Acts of violence by insurgents are down significantly and self-government is finally beginning to take hold. Hopefully, the many sacrifices made by our brave men and women in the military in order to remove a despot, free an entire nation and provide an opportunity for democracy in a repressive part of the world, will continue to be validated by this continued success.
