Do you remember your favorite teacher? Mine was Mrs. Worthington. I was lucky enough to have her as my teacher for second and third grades. She was tall, or at least appeared to be from my much lower perch. She wore big glasses and had a warm smile.
I remember her teaching us about the solar system, perfectly timed with a solar eclipse. To watch the eclipse, she taught us to make protective glasses that looked like the ones you wear to watch a 3-D movie. She explained the importance of wearing proper glasses so our eyes wouldn't be damaged while looking directly at the sun.
