Here's what I don't remember: carrots and celery, salad, green beans, whole wheat buns, rice and fresh apples, all of which were on the menu during a recent trip to Central Elementary School in Edgewater. Maybe that stuff was there in my day, too, but I couldn't tell you.
But more kids in county school lunch lines have started picking healthy options just in the past year.
