Do you remember the story in May about the lawsuit over trees that blocked a neighbor's water view? In speaking about fences and neighbors in his poem, "Mending Walls," Robert Frost wrote, "Spring is the mischief in me, and I wonder if I could put a notion in his head: 'Why do they make good neighbors?' '' The classic line, "Good fences make good neighbors" is stated twice, but did Frost think his neighbor was not too friendly, or just a bit strange? I am not sure that fences make good neighbors.
