Psychology: Violent fanaticism cannot be toleratedPublished 11/19/09
Recent events at Fort Hood, Texas, remind us that terrorism is not as far from us as we often hope. Two weeks ago, as he was gunning down thirteen innocent people, including a pregnant woman and her unborn child, a fanatic sociopath screamed out words of war against us. Once again, our country as a whole was stunned and the military community was devastated. How could one of our own turn against us so violently?
