A: This is a good time of year to look for a kitten as most cats breed in the spring and summer. If you are looking at a litter at a private home, ask to see the mother of the kittens. Does she look healthy? Is her weight good? Does she have a sleek, shiny coat? Are her eyes and nose free of discharge? Is she active and friendly?
Then check the kittens to see if they too are energetic, with no runny eyes or nose or sneezing. Check through their fur to make sure there are no bare spots...
