There are so many nightmare situations parents have to deal with - a lost child, serious injuries and chronic illnesses of unknown origins. Denise and Joe Segreti of Churchton struggled to understand what was wrong with their daughter, Deanna. When she was 2 years old she weighed 28 pounds. And when she was 3 she still weighed 28 pounds. "In that one year she didn't grow at all," Denise said. "Even her shoe size stayed the same." The Segretis took Deanna to doctors who were just as baffled by her lack of growth.
