Kids in south county are raiding their piggy banks and penny jars to help the survivors of the Indian Ocean tsunami. Students at Arundel Bay Christian Academy in Lothian raised $2,752 in a "money march" last week. Children dropped their cash and loose change into a giant basket.
"It was a huge success," said Principal Julie Simpson. "The basket was so heavy that we could not hold it."
"I am giving all the change I have saved because these people need it more than I do." said one of the 186 children at the school, which serves pre-K through eighth-grade students.
The contributions are being sent to World Help for victims...
