Tax break nears for 102-unit senior housing projectPublished 07/03/05
The county is set to enter a tax-break agreement to partially fund a 102-unit senior housing project in Edgewater. A bill introduced to the County Council last month would allow the county executive to sign an agreement with Osprey Properties Inc. allowing the Annapolis-based developer to pay the county an annual fee in lieu of taxes to build and operate the apartment complex. Osprey will provide housing for seniors citizens with househhold incomes ranging from 30 to 60 percent of the county's $61,000 median.
