Pair's love of hockey wins them a HummerPublished 06/01/06
Andy Beyerlein had no idea he would end up behind the wheel of a Hummer when he recommended a friend buy Washington Capitals season tickets. Mr. Beyerlein, and his wife Pam, found out last month they were one of five finalists in a referral contest sponsored by the Washington, D.C.-based hockey club. They went to the Verizon Center for the last home game of the season knowing that even if they didn't land the top prize of a 2006 Hummer H3, they would at least pocket $1,000 as a runner-up.
