When Girl Scout Troop 2422 Leader Becki Hutchison called the mother of one of her troop members to change a meeting date and place, she had no idea she was about to set in motion an incredible chain of events. The mother, who has asked not to be identified, let slip that her family was without heat. "I couldn't believe it," said Mrs. Hutchison. "It was one of those 11-degree days. It was freezing."
