Girl Scouts from Davidsonville, Edgewater, Harwood, Riva and Mayo gathered with their dads and step-dads on Saturday for the Scouts' annual Father-Daughter Dance. This year's theme was a luau.
As each couple arrived at Mayo Beach Park, they were given colorful leis to hang around their necks. In addition, each couple was asked to bring an item to donate to the Baby Pantry of the Food Link Inc. in Anne Arundel County.
The party was supposed to be outside, but rain threatened that plan. Fortunately, Mayo Beach Park has indoor accommodations as well as the covered pavilion, so the party was moved mostly indoors.
