Girl Scouts from Davidsonville, Edgewater, Harwood, Riva and Mayo gathered with their dads and step-dads on Saturday for the Scouts' annual Father-Daughter Dance. This year's theme was a luau.

Roger Bagbey and his daughter Marin, 9, enjoy some time together at the Girl Scouts’ annual Father-Daughter Dance. This year’s island theme brought 280 Scouts and dads together for an afternoon of dancing, games, food and fun.
As each couple arrived at Mayo Beach Park, they were given colorful leis to hang around their necks. In addition, each couple was asked to bring an item to donate to the Baby Pantry of the Food Link Inc. in Anne Arundel County.
The party was supposed to be outside, but rain threatened that plan. Fortunately, Mayo Beach Park has indoor accommodations as well as the covered pavilion, so the party was moved mostly indoors. Carol Ann...
